The Acquarius team recently attended an industry briefing and roundtable hosted jointly by the Gibraltar Association of New Technologies (GANT) and the Gibraltar Funds & Investments Association (GFIA), focused on the future of fund tokenisation in Gibraltar.

The session explored the implications of the proposed PCC (Amendment) Bill 2026, which introduces a framework for digitally native tokenised funds and further strengthens Gibraltar's position as an innovative international financial centre.

Attendees heard opening remarks from the Hon. Nigel Feetham KC MP, Minister for Justice, Trade and Industry, before participating in discussions on the practical application of tokenised fund structures, regulatory considerations and the opportunities this development may create for fund managers, investors and advisers.

As a Gibraltar-regulated fiduciary and corporate services provider, Acquarius welcomes initiatives that support the continued evolution of Gibraltar's financial services sector while maintaining the governance and regulatory standards that underpin long-term credibility.

The discussion highlighted the importance of collaboration between industry, government and regulators as new technologies continue to shape the future of investment structures.

We thank GANT and GFIA for hosting an insightful and thought-provoking session.
