We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Bookkeeper / Accounting Technician to join our Client Accounting team. The successful candidate will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function for one of our premium clients, accounting for approximately 50% of their time, while also supporting a wider portfolio of clients with bookkeeping, management accounting, compliance and reporting services.
Key Responsibilities
· Act as the primary finance contact for a premium client.
· Full bookkeeping and maintenance of accounting records.
· Purchase and sales ledger management.
· Bank, balance sheet and key account reconciliations.
· Prepare payment runs within a four-eye process.
· Cash flow reporting, petty cash maintenance and reconciliations.
· Month-end processing and trial balance reviews.
· Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting schedules.
· Support a portfolio of clients with accounting, tax, payroll and reporting obligations.
· Assist with statutory accounts preparation under FRS102, IFRS and local GAAP.
· Assist with corporate tax and dividend return preparation and filing.
· Liaise with auditors, accountants and external advisers.
· Maintain accurate client records and monitor contract renewals.
· Respond to client enquiries and support client relationships.
· Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve KPIs.

Skills & Experience
· Experience in bookkeeping, accounting and financial management.
· Experience managing purchase and sales ledgers.
· Strong reconciliation experience.
· Experience preparing management accounts.
· Good knowledge of accounting software packages.
· Excellent Excel, organisation and time-management skills.
· AAT qualified, ACCA part-qualified/newly qualified or equivalent (desirable).
