Calpe House event

Many of you will be aware of the work Calpe House does in the local community. The Calpe House GA locally registered charity is Gibraltar’s “home from home” when we need it most.

The Calpe House Fund Raising committee, are hosting a fun run and race on Sunday, 2nd October, from Casemates Square. It’s an event designed to be fun and inclusive for all. Fast, not so fast? It doesn’t matter – all are welcome to celebrate Calpe House and raise money for the charity to continue to support the Gibraltar community.

There’s a 3km walking/jogging route, and a 5km timed run. The Gibraltar Amateur Athletics Association will be there on the day, alongside St John Ambulance and a small army of volunteers, to make it a memorable and safe event. You’re welcome to register on the day, but you’d be helping the organisers a lot by registering in advance, via https://www.buytickets.gi/events/move-with-calpe-house-537.

Acquarius Trust have entered a team of runners, looking to win the corporate bragging rights on offer. Whether we finish first, second or last, it’s the charity that will win, as we are delighted to play our part.

We are taking part in the Calpe House Charity Run/Walk on Sunday this week for a multitude of reasons. As a Gibraltar charity, it is something close to our hearts. Many who work here see firsthand the dedication and passion that their community has to the charity. We also think what the charity does is important as it gives people opportunities that otherwise wouldn’t have been available to them. Some of our staff have used Calpe House themselves and have spoken about the importance of the charity in taking away the stress and making hard situations that little bit easier. Finally it is a great opportunity for us at Acquarius to give back and to work together as a team in doing so.

What better way to start your Sunday? Come down to support the charity and #MoveWithCalpeHouse.

Registration 9am, warm-up with Josh Abernethie at 945am and on your marks at 10am…
